The only professional membership association for the public sector. Founded in 1929, the Victorian division of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA Victoria) has a long and distinguished history of representing people who work in or with the public sector in Victoria.
As a professional members’ association, we have a unique ability to bring together all tiers of government, as well as other public sector professionals working in the community, tertiary and private sectors. Above all, we are here to represent and advocate for our members’ interests – and to help them build the capacity, integrity and reputation of the public service.
We offer a wide range of events, seminars and professional development courses which bring members together and give them access to some of the country’s most prominent and influential thinkers. As well as delivering new skills, these forums offer a springboard for critical debates on the evolution of the public sector – and public expectations – in a time of rapid social change.
IPAA Victoria is a self-funded, membership-based, not-for-profit organisation. Our corporate members employ more than 100,000 Victorians and our personal members and Fellows include many of the State’s most senior and respected public administrators.
