IPAA National President
Penny was appointed Chair of the TAC on 1 July 2017.
She is currently a Special Advisor in KPMG’s consulting practice having retired from her role as Lead Partner for the Victorian Government Account and National Lead Partner for KPMG’s Justice and Security practice. Before joining KPMG as a senior partner in 2012, Penny held the position of Secretary of the Victorian Department of Justice for almost 10 years. She has overseen major policy and service delivery reforms in the public sector and worked extensively with Ministers, senior department and agency executives and heads of jurisdiction within Victoria and nationally.
Penny is a highly regarded and influential public sector leader, previously holding leadership positions on a range of boards and advisory committees. She mentors public sector leaders, addresses national, state and business on Public Sector leadership and reform, and has participated in selection processes for critical statutory appointments.
Penny was made a National Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia in 2006 in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the study and practice of public administration. She is currently the national President of IPAA Australia.
