Helen Sullivan is Professor and Director of the Crawford School of Public Policy at the Australian National University. Her research and teaching explores the changing nature of state-society relationships and their implications for public governance.
She has published widely on public policy, public governance and public service reform. She has advised governments at all levels and she also appears regularly in the media commenting on public policy issues.
Helen is an innovative and creative leader with a long- term commitment to finding new ways to bridge the gap between research and policy. She was Foundation Director of the Melbourne School of Government and in 2015 led the Pathways to Politics Program for Women, a groundbreaking partnership between the University and the Trawalla Foundation to increase the representation of women in politics. Helen is a Fellow of the Institute of Public Administration Australia (Victoria).
